The Mountaineer Beanie is worked from the top down in the round. The pattern is beginner-friendly, and the beanie is quick to complete.
The inspiration for the beanie comes from beautiful hiking memories and the landscapes of Bárrás mountain in Norway.

Height of hat brim unfolded: 33 (38.5) cm / 13 (15.25)"
Gauge: 27 sts x 30 rnds = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4” over the Rib St pattern used for the hat in the round. Gauge has been measured from the finished beanie.
Needle: A long circular needle for the Magic Loop technique 4 mm / US 6 (100 cm / 40”) (or double-pointed needles, if preferred)
Recommended yarn: 100 (100) g of Knitting For Olive Heavy Merino (50 g = 125 m / 137 yds) OR approx. 156 (205) m / 171 (225) yds of a similar weight merino wool yarn.
